Jill Austin and the Power of Story
by Nathan Shaw
Story is powerful. Story shapes nations, cultures and generations. Jesus conveyed His message through story. Of course this is not at all surprising—Jesus was the living Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. History tells God’s story of redemption. The story is gutsy and raw. It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted. Multi-layered and exquisitely textured, it is still being written.
As an 18 year old I discovered the ministry of Jill Austin. To say that her prophetic stories changed my life is an understatement. Jill was a master story teller. For her, telling a story was more about impartation than information. Her stories immersed me in the heart of God, birthed hunger and passion for more of Him, and ignited supernatural destiny. Jill’s voice resonated with the depth of the Father’s mercy and fiery love. I was hooked.
One of Jill’s favorite questions was, “Do you want a visitation [from God]?” It was hard not to desire more of God when you were around her. Jill went on to be with the Lord in 2009. It is my desire that her stories will impact a new generation in the same way that they impacted me. The following audio recording is Jill’s story, “The Electrician.” It is one of eight stories from “Glory Fire – Vessel of Mercy.” Jill also recorded some powerful God encounters on “Visitations.” It is my hope and prayer that listening to “The Electrician” will whet your appetite for more.
